Peavey’s recording mics, the Pro M1 M2 and CM1, are suited for sound engineers looking for affordable high quality recording mics. The Studio Pro M1 is equipped with a large dual-diaphragm capsule with a gold-plated membrane, in addition to this the Studio Pro M2 is equipped with three directional patterns: omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-8. These are selectable with switches located below the head grille. A 10 dB attenuation switch enables the microphones to handle sound pressure levels up to 140 dB without distortion. Furthermore, the low frequency response can be reduced to compensate for proximity effect.
